Sr Agentic Engineer (Saigon)

About Us

We The Flywheel (WTF) is a private digital product studio active across sports media, technology, fitness, and personal branding. We operate 500+ web properties across 42 markets and are deeply embedded in AI-native workflows. Our HQ is remote-first with team members in Vietnam, Europe, the Balkans, and Latin America.

The Role

"Sr Agentic Engineering" means you've done this before. You've directed Claude Code, Cursor, and Aider to ship real things and you know what good output looks like — and what to do when it isn't. We're hiring for track record and judgment, not credentials: you should be able to point at multiple things you've built and maintained with AI agents across different projects or products.

You'll own larger, murkier scopes than junior engineers. You'll architect multi-step agent workflows, debug when pipelines go sideways, and review or pair with more junior engineers. Fully remote, async-first; we sync once a week.

The work of a Sr Agentic Engineer

What You'll Do

  • Architect and own end-to-end agentic workflows across our product portfolio
  • Decompose vague feature requests into precise, agent-executable task chains
  • Debug complex multi-step agent failures — diagnose root cause, recover, prevent recurrence
  • Build reusable prompt libraries, MCP integrations, and workflow templates the team shares
  • Review and improve prompts and pipelines built by junior engineers
  • Evaluate new AI tools and recommend integrations; stay ahead of the model curve

Who You Are

  • 1–2+ years shipping things with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex) — you have a track record, not just familiarity
  • Can point to multiple artifacts you've built and maintained: scripts, automations, shipped features, internal tooling
  • Comfortable operating without supervision for week+ scopes — you scope your own work
  • Developed "taste" for when to trust AI output vs. when to push back and iterate
  • Strong written communication — you write prompts that work the first time and explain failures clearly
  • Set up to work from any modern laptop; we run through Discord and a cloud AI engine

What You'll Bring (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Experience shipping across multiple products or clients (not just one codebase)
  • Comfort reading and editing code the AI wrote, even if you didn't write it yourself
  • Any public artifacts: GitHub repos, Replit projects, Cloudflare Workers, shipped micro-features
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations or building reusable agent tools
  • Background mentoring or reviewing others' AI-assisted work
