Editorial Producer (Remote)

About Us
Flywheel Motion is what we do. We work with Join The Flywheel network members and other mission-aligned founders and executives to bring their personal and corporate brands to life and grow them. Five phases (Discovery → Strategy → Build → Activation → Performance), run by a director-led team.
The people we work with are doing real work in the world: climate, deep tech, science-led business, founder-led organizations whose ideas should travel further than they currently do. We The Flywheel is the studio behind it. AI is in everything we ship.
The Role
We're looking for an Editorial Producer to be the day-to-day delivery owner across our Flywheel Motion client engagements. You'll run the AI content pipeline end-to-end — drafting long-form pieces with AI coding agents, reviewing output critically, hitting publishing cadence, and acting as the primary client-facing contact for week-to-week operations.
This sits between Brand Strategy Direction (which sets the editorial spine) and the engineering team (which ships the platform). You're the operator who makes the strategy ship, every week, without anyone needing to hand-hold it.
What You'll Do
- ▶ Operate the AI content pipeline: long-form drafting with Claude Code / Cursor, prompt engineering, output review, editorial QA
- ▶ Hold the publishing cadence across active client engagements — weekly editorial rhythm, no missed beats
- ▶ Run on-page SEO and programmatic content systems — content SEO is part of the role, not someone else's job
- ▶ Track performance per piece and per client; iterate the workflow based on what actually moves visibility
- ▶ Serve as the primary week-to-week client contact — status updates, content sign-off, scheduling, escalations to leadership only when needed
- ▶ Stay current on AI tooling, startup trends, and platform changes (Google updates, LinkedIn algorithm, etc.); refresh prompts and pipelines accordingly
Who You Are
- ✓ Deep, daily use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, or similar) for content production — not just ChatGPT in a browser tab
- ✓ Strong critical reader: you push back on bad AI output, iterate prompts, and ship only work you'd put your name on
- ✓ Editorially fluent — you can hold a publishing cadence and judge whether a draft is ready or needs another pass
- ✓ Comfortable with on-page SEO basics: titles, structure, internal linking, keyword fit — enough to ship without an engineer in the loop
- ✓ Client-facing by nature — calm under pressure, clear in writing, accountable on timelines
- ✓ Very good written and spoken English — your drafts ship close to publication-ready and client calls run smoothly. Published bylines, newsletter, or substantial portfolio a plus
- ✓ Available during US business hours (overlap with ET / PT required for client check-ins and weekly editorial calls)
Experience (Preferred)
- ○ 2+ years in editorial production, content strategy, content marketing, or comparable hands-on work
- ○ Demonstrable track record of shipped content — bylines, owned channels, or attributable client work
- ○ Familiarity with one or more content platforms (Astro, Next.js, WordPress, Substack, Ghost, headless CMS)
- ○ Experience working with founders, executives, or subject-matter experts as your client / co-author
- ○ Comfort with analytics tooling (GA4, Search Console, basic SQL) and using data to refine the editorial loop
